We took the train to Amsterdam Sunday and had even more of a great time than we thought we would!! The place had such a party vibe and there was a huge Krishnį festival in the centre square with free veggie food!!! Delicious!
We went to the Anne Frank house which was an experience I had to have! So sombre and also amazing, to think people could hide in such a tiny place, away from the worlds eyes for so long.
We wandered thru the sleazy party zones with their ever present sex shops and pubs thumping to music at 2pm in the afternoon. This place is for serious partiers only - but such a fantastic friendly atmosphere!!! Thru the haze of the coffee shops with their “No Alcohol Allowed“signs and their gloominess only punctured by the lighting of someone or others legal joints to the sunshine bathed city square where apart from the vibe, you could be forgiven for thinking you were anywhere and everywhere all at once, Amsterdam is once visited and, in my mind at least, forever loved.
