We got up and tried to organise ourselves but our attempts to make lunch failed when we found our butter had melted!  Yuk.  We drove to Bryce National Park and went to the Visitor Centre (all the parks have really good free information and maps).  We decided to drive around the park which has one long road.  We drove to the end and worked our way backwards.  Bryce is great - the views are spectacular!  There are bright red hoodoos (sticky up rocks) everywhere.  It was also a bit cooler today so that helped.
 
After visiting Bryce we drove to Page, stopping to buy cool cowboy hats on the way!  We checked into a Motel 6 then went in search of dinner.  Page is nice but a bit overpriced - also very busy.  Maybe because it has a golf course and the sun is shining - who knows.
 
The next day we had breakfast at Dennys and then drove to Lake Powell.  It's really pretty and right smack in the middle of the desert.  We couldn't be bothered to do a boat trip so we just sat and looked at the view before driving to Glen Canyon dam and having a free tour which was interesting.  Back on the road tomorrow!
