Well this is a side trip, It was a good idea to rent an apartment and then take side trios to destinations north that we werent sure about and of course to scope the new terriitory out first.

We went to Bahia de Caraquez, which is north of Manta and I must say maybe its something in the water but the women are exquisitly beautiful here! The city is clean and modern and also hot as hell. But you get what you ask for, Senior Sol (sun).

The food is chep here to: for example I had lunch, Grilled shrimp, rice, and a salad and two beers cost: $6.00 So you can see how a person can get by on a small salary like mine.

I took a dip in the paciic  ocean and rented a wave runner.

Now in bahia you catch a water taxi or small boat takes 10 minuts to the other side and your on the island of Saint Vincente which is okay but going further on the island and you are in Canoa. These are small Pueblos (small cities of no more than 10,000 people). Canoa is where I stayed. The first nite we stayed in some rinky dink cabin so the second nite we switched to a nicer hotel cost: $25 a nite. This type of hotel in the caribean would easily cost upwards of $80. Thats what I love about South America, you can live the good life for cheap!!

This place is just like the caribean with palm trees everywhere, very tropical and best of all theres not alot of people. Ive found it folks. This is a goood side trip, we are here for the weeekend then we head back to our aprtment in Manta.

A strange thing happened in Canoa when we were there, since this is an island the whole island is on a generator no doubt, well folks all the lights went out on the island but thank god we swithchec hotels to a higher star hotel because our hotel had its own generator so we drank beers and talked and laughed for about an hour then the lights on the rest of the island were on again in about 2 hours.

Bahia de Caraquez, St. Vincente, and Canoa are really a cluster of islands that are a great vacation. The womens are beautiful, the people are nice and it is very modern. I dont see many americans on these trips, GOOD! Me and my woman are getting closer with each trip, >Yeahhhhhhh
