Well, we're on the Virgin Australia flight to Sydney for our last stop. Flying southeast for 2 hours.  As we saw flying into Ayers Rock, viewing the earth below is like looking at a Monet canvas of varying red, orange, cream, tan, and brown colors.  Monet didn’t use a lot of those colors, but if he were in this plane, that’s what he would have to use. As I write this bit, we’re over what appears to be a huge dried up lake bed of cream colors.  The red and browns are gone.

Arriving in the Sydney airport brought us back to more people in one place than we’ve seen in almost 2 months.  Reality is back.  Our shuttle to our Travelodge was interesting.  There were 8 of us in this small van with all our bags.  This Travelodge is not like your father’s Travelodge.  It’s an 18 story building located just south of Hyde Park, and a few blocks from Chinatown, which we walked to for dinner tonight.  We sat next to 2 guys from Brisbane on business.  Turns out they sell slot machines in Australia for a family business.
