Today we checked out of our room and hung around the pool.  We did our weekly video chat with A & J
and C & M.  Karen says she ready to
go home.  She needs the weekly pregnancy
and wedding plan updates from the kids.
I do also!  We asked the hotel to
keep our refer bag in their frig until we left.
The leftover ice cream was a bit mushy but went down fine!

We decided to head to Cairns a bit early and stopped for lunch on the
beach at Palm Cove.  Our typical lunch is
crackers, cheese, and salami.  It’s been
sunny up here in Port Douglas and on the way it rained.  Oh well.
It’s still 80+ degrees.

We had a little trouble finding our Ibis hotel close to the airport but
eventually, after touring most of Cairns, we found it.  It stopped raining so we spent some time by
the pool and then headed downtown to walk on their esplanade and have
dinner.  Cairns is a pretty large city so
their esplanade was very well done.  They
have salt water swimming pool with a sandy beach in their waterfront park.  It has a wide long wood boardwalk with lighted
historical displays about the local aboriginal tribes and more.

Looks wonderful! Aren't you tired yet?
We are at Bev and Brad's catching up on all of their news.
Sunny and warm in AZ.
