Kangaroos, Koala Bears and Kookaburra’s….and The Great Ocean Road.  www.visitgreatoceanroad.org.au
Picked up our Hyundai Gesto rental car today.  Drove to Torquay for lunch.  RipCurl and Quicksilver were founded
here.  Then on to Bell’s Beach.  The Great Ocean Road (about 60 miles long)
along the Southern Ocean was next.  Just
wish I had my Porsche instead of the Hyundai Gesto.  Oh well. Like driving the Dolomites in
Italy(B &K) and to Arundel volcano in Costa Rica (R & L) or the  Amalfi Coast, Italy. Beautiful beaches and
sheer cliffs along the way.  Stopped at
Anglesea to look for kangaroo on a golf course and found some!

We thought we were staying close to the beach at Apollo Bay,
but were pleasantly surprised to find our way to the top of a mountain.  The German couple had a B & B with
stunning views of the bay, surrounding mountains and ocean.  Wow!  Our
host told us we could see kangaroo up behind the house so we walked up there
while the laundry was going.  Didn’t see
any but I went up there in the morning and found one eating the grass.  Very cool!

Had fresh off the boat Barramundi fish and chips at the
harbor for dinner with another fantastic view of the bay and mountains behind.

Stayed in Warrnambool last night and tomorrow we fly to Launceston, Tasmania.
