So yeah, I forgot to get her address! We got to downtown Greenville and drove around a bit. We say the Calamity Jane statue and we stopped in the museum to find some local maps. It was only about 3pm so we didn't think that Fly would be home yet. At the museum, we asked for local food recommendations and they said we had to go the Maid-Rite. It's a local loose meat sandwich joint that the area is famous for. Their outside wall is covered in gum and has been featured on a couple of travel shows. [ picture will go here ] We went in and had a sandwich (they were about the size a McDonald's kid's meal hamburger) and we also had milk shakes, which had also been highly recommended. The sandwiches were ok, the milkshakes fantastic... but the smell of the place nauseated me a bit... Then, we left and went to Walmart to pick up a couple of things and then headed to Fly's house.
The amazing thing was that Rhobyne, who has visited Flyhead twice within the last 5 years, insisted that she could figure out where her house was - and she did!
We had a blast catching up with Fly. We talked about the OB, the first Browncoat Ball and the awesomely popular "Bordello", the Serenity Red Carpet Premiere, Wizard World in Chicago, the Browncoats we had met... I gave her a cookbook I had picked up at a local book sale a couple of years ago with her in mind: The Bordello Cookbook. It was a very interesting book detailing some of the most famous bordellos and the food they served.
Then we watched some tv, relaxed and finally made it to bed in the wee hours of the morning...
