Unfortunately about 30 metres up the path there is another big log. Luna jumps on this one and because its at the crest of hill she is really high when she's on it. There is no space for me to jump on the log & I can see that she is still in a playful mood so to prevent her from jumping down onto me I stand right beside her so there is no space between us. It works in that she doesn't pounce me but she starts licking my arm. Then she goes up to my armpit. I can see she's excited because she's in a new position and her teeth are only inches away from my face. Thankfully she doesn't pounce on me from that position and we pass the rest of the day without incident.
On the way back to the camp I reflect over the incidents. What would have happened on the first log if I'd slipped and feel to the ground - I wonder what Luna would have done? It seems like a vunerable position. And the second case with the big log - is she going to get excited by it every time we reach it?? Its really dangerous as it puts her so high up.
Back at camp its is Belgium lady Hilde's leaving night tonight. Andres cooks a massive vegetarian lasagne. It is a great meal but he manages to use pretty much every pan & dish possible and I am on after dinner dishes duty which takes me and the other guy a good 45 minutes - oh for a dishwasher!!
At the end of the night the 6 of us that are left go on a night walk to find a mythical bed that we have heard rumours of that sits in the middle of the palm plantation that is beside our camp. Sure enough we find the bed out in the open under the stars built a few metres above the ground on stilts. It would be an amazing sleep on it (forgetting the mosquitos that would probably eat you to death). Its quite sureal this bed 3 metres high in the middle of the plantation. But that's the extent of the excitement for the night...
