When I was a kid I used to come down to Old Town Florence with my grandma and go through all the shops. At the time, I only wanted to go to one shop: BJ's Ice Cream. Now it was a bit more interesting, even if it was a bit touristy and pricy. The day couldn't have been better with temperatures in the late 60's, so we strolled the docks before we had lunch at the Traveler's Cove where we had a bowl of chowder - of course. Apparently none of the locals will go to the Mo's in Florence since there is rumors of lard and other non-traditional ingredients being dumped into the chowders.
