Where I stayed

Thought it was about time I sent another email.  I've just packed and
moved all our stuff out of our home for the past 19 days and I'm
waiting for Jon to get back from diving. He's had quite a few
encounters with bull sharks and whale sharks during his dives.
In
a couple of hours we'll get the ferry to the mainland, then the
overnight train to Bangkok.  Should arrive about 6am if all goes
according to plan.  We had a panic getting the tickets as we're in the
middle of a really big Thai holiday (of which we were blissfully
unaware), but we managed to secure the last 2 berths on the train.  I
pity whoever has the bottom bunk with Jon above!  Maybe when they see
the size of him they'll swap.
It rained quite heavily during the
night and this morning there are thousands of tiny black frogs the size
of my little finger nail hopping around.  At first I thought they were
insects.  There are rather a lot of gigantic centipedes lolling about
too.  At more than 6 inches long, they are not at all cute and I
suspect they are poisonous.
The
last few days I've been greatly puzzled over the disappearance of my
underwear.  It seems every time we do laundry a bra or pair of knickers
disappears.  I started with enough to last 2 weeks and now I'm down to
a week's supply.  What's really irritating is it was all new because I
knew it would be difficult to replace in countries where every one is
half my size.  At least no one seems to want Jon's.
