By the time our hostel owner had fully convinced us to go on the Sahara tour, we were pretty excited about it. We woke up at 6:30 AM to have a quick breakfast before we were picked up in a 8 person tourist van by our driver.
Turns out that Moroccan landscape is quite stunning. We started in an area predominated by green pastures and sheep, but the scenery became progressively more desert-like as our drive continued.
We stopped for a longer bathroom/shopping/snack break in Ouarzazate, but most of my pictures from this town were taken when we returned for lunch the next day (the light was better). So, they are included in the last Sahara blog.
The drive from Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou became profoundly more mountainous—the Atlas mountains are pretty neato and we took a million pictures. I think you are probably getting the gist of this blog—mainly pictures since we were sitting in a van, not doing anything particularly exciting.
