After leaving Mulu caves and the Borneo Jungle I flew back to Kuching via Miri and returned the same Hostel as before. It was like coming home as all the staff greeted me when I walked in. It is one of the better places that I have stayed in so I spent another week just being lazy and eating great food. On the 28 June I flew back to Kuala Lumpur. I actually enjoyed it much more this time as I knew my way around and also met some great travelers at the hostel. The one night we decided to go to an Irish pub for their quiz night. So a south African, an Iranian guy, a girl from Switzerland, one from Korea, one from japan and one from USA, an Aussie guy and a one from Taiwan head off in a couple of taxis. There we meet a couple from Scotland and another Aussie. It was a great night and even though we got 100% in the geography section we only came 4th in the quiz
Once you get to understand the transport system KL is quite easy to get around. Especially the free bus that do to big circle routes around the city. With the added bonus off having a free WiFi connection.
Some time back when I was off to the Perhentian Islands,I met Leigh from Australia, who was renovating a house on the island. I offered my services to assist but she said she had enough workers. This was when I picked up my eye infection and had to rush off to hospital so I did not get a chance to see Leigh again. A few weeks later I received an SMS saying there was work if I wanted it and also an opportunity to volunteer at a Turtle watch. Anyway I met Leigh in Kuala Lumpur and after meeting her boss, Hayati, it was agreed that I would head off to the Turtle watch in Lang Tengah. After some mad running around trying to find a tent and some supplies I eventually caught the bus from KL to Kuala Terengganu and off to Island.
