I think I was hustled a bit today. Took a round trip bus tour of Mumbai which was supposed to cost 200 rupees. After I got on the bu the guide kept asking for money at each stop. No one else handed over any money and I was the only foreigner on the bus. At the third stop which was advertised as a 4D diorama which I thought was going to be a cultural/historical film about India - turned out to be some weird 3D horror cartoon with freaky spiders and pumpkins with teeth and lots of blood looming towards you. The seats kept jolting back and forwards and blasts of air were squirted in your face and around your ankles all with the idea of trying to scare you. Everyone was screaming and I was have a quiet chuckle. Not what I expected for my money. At the next stop I refused to pay and was told to get off the bus and wait for 2 hours. I decided to cut my losses and caught a taxi to Marine Drive so hopefully they are still looking for the lost foreigner - Fuck em!
Marine drive is about a 6 km curved walk way along the main road overlooking the Arabian Sea. Every evening thousands of families and young courting couples congregate to watch the sunset. Which also attracts every tout, beggar and hustler. All in all an enjoyable afternoon. Once the sun sets the lights along the road come on and this is called the Queens Necklace.
