We had some excitement on the last day of the trip south when a young American passenger staying in the dorm area of the ship found one of his flip flops in the toilet.  He decided to head to the bridge and ask the captain to review security tapes.  They watched as a swiss passenger (who claimed to be a police officer) with his hood pulled up over his face approached the bunk, grabbed one of the shoes and retreated to the bathroom.  The captain and crew found this hilarious but were unwilling to let us play the video during breakfast for all to see.  The American had never even spoken to the shoe thief and was more curious as to why anyone would do such a thing.  Upon confrontation the Swiss just denied everything but wasn´t willing to go review the security tapes. Makes me wonder about what people do when they don´t think that they´re being watched.

We´re going to spend a few days in Puerto Natales and then head to Torres del Paine National Park for a 3-5 day hike.
