On our last night in Phnom Penh i took 2 of the staff members for a night out. They were both my age and they earn very little working at the hostel.It was a big deal for them to go out and they were very very thankful about it. They first brought me to a club more oriented to tourists then local people. Bars of this kind in Asia are all over and they make me sick. Old westerners dancing with asian girl 1/3 their age isn't right. I swallowed one beer and said '"lets get out of here I want to go  to a real cambodian bar." They were even more happy. We went to a place quite cavernous but i could feel a good vibe in there.There was a live band playing some thai pop-alike music which is brutal. After a jug it started to grow on me though! They showed me some local dance moves and taught me a few line dances. Everybody there wanted to be my friend , it was awesome. I woke the following morning to the harsh reality of "the after a big night".Then we caught a bus to Kampot a small riverside town in southern Cambodia. I spent the day reading a troubling book written by an Australian who spent 13 years in a Thai prison. It's called The Damage Done by Warren Fellows. I went to sleep thinking about the people in there nowadays and felt very sorry for them. Keep in mind I feel sorry for people who spent years in jail for pot offense or something like that not for ruthless criminals.
    Today we hired a motorbike to go explore the surronding area. We drove to Kep a beach town on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. We got there without any problem. Then we went to a beach restaurant where I paid 5$US for a dish of fried chicken.It was quite pricy I thought, and when I saw the dish I was shocked.  That was a fried chicken alright, head , feet even a few feathers and a lot of unidentified matter. It was uneatable so it was a big waste of a chicken I tell you. We left back to Kampot. 1km on our way the front tire cracked. We had to change it, and pay about 10$ for it. It got fixed in no time and we could carry on. About 5 km down the road the brake went so I though the guy must have messed something up and we turned around. About 1 km before we got back to the mechanics the rear tire blew up! Make it 2 flat in less then 30 min. I was pretty annoyed by the incredible streak of bad luck that had just happen to me. I think the mechanic felt bad for us since he only charged us 50cents for the second flat. While the flat was being patched Kirsten was bitten by fire ants between the toes.  Anyhow we finally made it back to Kampot in one piece. I think now I will go hide in my room and stop moving until the end of this unlucky day.
