Just as we arrived into Piraeus, the port staff was on strike. This meant for our board crew to prepare and take care of our luggage and for us, a few more minutes at the breakfast buffet as we had a little delay with the disembarkation.

We said goodbye to the crew, the Swedish group and our friends from Englang and then boarded the bus with some of the other German speaking passengers. As we had a few hours before our flight departure, we had booked a tour around Athens.

The tour passed the old and the new olympic stadions, some other interesting sites and of course included a stop at the acropolis. There we had 1 hour to walk around, enjoy the view and see the acropolis close up. It is an interesting site and we were lucky as there were only very few tourists.
Then it was time to drive to the airport. The flight home went smoothly and we were happy that my mum and my godmother picked us up at the airport.

Overall impression:
The whole week was wonderful!! The Sea Cloud is a beautiful ship and sailing on it makes you feel one with wind and water. The crew is extremely friendly and the service very obliging. Watching the riggers setting sail is a spectacle I can never get enough of. The weather could have been a few degrees warmer, but we had some sunshine every day.

A cruise to remember...
