Back in las Tunas.

Los Frailes on a Sunday afternoon and the beach of Puerto Lopez as well as party-only-oriented Montanita proofed that there is only one place to be for us. That is: Las Tunas.

The clean room and new sheets upon return did not make it easier an so we became, day by day, part of the villages daily life. Margarita did not make it easier. She is the most lovely person and if you, like us, do not feel like cooing again the those different kitchen, you can go there and enjoy a great lunch, including soup, main course and a fresh juice.

Probably the best of it are her stories plus the social chats and he villages news 'of the day'' which were not to be missed, too. This way, Las Tunas became some part of home and between surfing, running on the beach (Maria only) in the early morning hours and the evenings 'fish with garlic sauce, rice and patacones/fries' we even managed to update our blog and Maria started making a collection of necklaces and other decorations.

Mirian and her family did it not make is easier through somehow integrating us into their lives, plus did we meet Mandy. She is staying in Las Tunas for about 2 years as a peace corps volunteer and iniciating great renewable projects like using the plastic of bags and bottles for making purses. Well done! Hopefully more projects like those will be starting, and of course Maria had to get one immediately!!

The one was needed, as the disappointment was big when Maria got an ear infection through probably getting half the ea and beach into her ear. So, surf for Jorgen and only running for Maria. However, this should not bother next Sunday when we would celebrate 6 years with a trip to Isla Salango and snorkeling!

Aurelio, Mirians husband arranged that for us and so we were going out with a local fishermen, yeahaw!
