Where I stayed
Grand Teton National Park was definitely worth the extra driving time. The mountains take your breath away. We didn't see any wildlife but it is supposed to be great for veiwings. Jackson Hole is a great little town and it would have been nice to have a night there to explore. We did have a quick lunch and I had a bit of a sleep. We arrived into Salt Lake City and wondered what had a chance at rivalling Yellowstone and Alaska.
On Monday it was a public holiday and the city was very quiet. We drove to the Great Salt Lake and had a paddle and then headed on into town. It is a very pretty town centre with a huge Morman influence. After looking around Temple Square we went grocery shopping and headed back to the hotel to relax. The next day we were driving down to Hurricane, Utah, to explore the canyons.
