On arrival at Anadyr Adventures we were all eager to set off. First we got kitted out by our guide Spencer, and then went through a few basics. The water ferry arrived at the dock and we loaded on. We had an hour and a half ride out to the start of the kayaking. In ten minutes we were unloaed and in our kayaks. It's amazing how fast time goes when you're having fun. We saw a waterfall, seals playing, and headed up a salmon stream (no bears). We stopped off for lunch and had the best tasting hot chocolate with marshmellows. It was raining quite hard but luckily we were really warm. Layers, loads of layers! We headed off again to Columbia Glacier and we were met with a strange and wonderful sight. The icebergs were a couple of meters high out of the water and the shapes were spectacular.

Spencer lead us in single file through this mass of icebergs to a viewpoint. We unloaded and walked up to survey around us. The icebergs went far into the distance. It was a maze of icebergs and an awesome sight.

Back in the kayaks we paddled around some more glistening glacial mass before we were picked up by the water taxi. There were warnings off rough seas with large swells. It was a bit rocky but not too bad. Safe and sound back at shore in Valdez we headed for showers at a petrol station for $8 each. They were really nice and used by campground guest next door. Feeling refreshed we walked to the Totem Inn for a few drinks before dinner. It was our last meal together which was a strange feeling as the days had passed so quickly and it didn't seem like we should be Anchorage bound tomorrow. Dinner was nice and all to soon we were heading back to camp ready for bed.
