Where I stayed

After picking up our cool little Toyota motor we headed up to Green Bay. The Wisconsin countryside is beautiful and made me and Adrian both think respectively of our home countries. I guess it was the farm landscapes. They are beautiful.

We had a nice quiet evening and the next day we went to the wildlife santuary where we saw cute little coyotes, bob cats, a cougar, otters and loads of birds. Also loads of curious little chipmunks (I want one!). We went on a walkng trail and then headed for a drive up the side of Lake Michigan. There were loads of gorgeous houses and they are massive too. After the drive we went into downtown Green Bay which is quite small and quiet and took a walk down by the river.

Green Bay was built around the Fox River so it is mostly industrial but has a certain charm especially with the river. It is also the home of the Green Bay Packers and the locals are very proud of their team. Unfortunately we ran out of time so didn't get to go and look at the stadium (they had their training camp on which would have been interesting to watch.

The next day we were up and off to Grand Rapids / Duluth.

Fairfield Inn by Marriott, Green Bay on

I like the way you captured the heart of Green Bay in your photos and description. I'am the Director of Sales at the Fairfield Inn on Onieda Street in Green Bay and I like to hear and see what visitors are interested in when they come to the area. I actually used to be a server at Bay Motel's Family Restaurant and they really do a great job with that motel. Now that I am a part of the Fairfield Inn I'd like you to know if you or anyone you know ever visits Green Bay again, I'd be happy to offer you a discounted rate and a fun package including dinner, wine, and tickets to local events that are going on in the area. Our breakfast is great with waffles, egg, bacon and cheese sandwiches, ham and cheese quiche and then the usual cereals, bagels, muffins, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, you name it! We have a pool and hot tub that's open 24 hours and a free membership to the Golds Gym across the street for our guests free. I'm always willing to accomodate to any special requests and will always negotiate a room rate! Let other interested explorers of Green Bay know about the Fairfield Inn by Marriott if they are coming to visit! Nice blog!
