I am standing at the ticket counter, like I have for the past 2 hours. At 12pm Tim was notified that our flight to Newark has been canceled due to weather (although there might have been other reasons that united isn't telling us). Because Newark was our connecting flight to get to San Jose we had to scratch out our old plan and figure out something new. So we went to united we figured out a plan and then awe had to go to air Canada. Once at air Canada we found out that everything we got from united was messed up, yet again, and we were under a 15 minute time constraint to fix everything and make it onto our new flight. Unfortunately between running back and forth from air Canada to united flight, we couldn't meet the time constraint and we missed the first flight. We got rescheduled onto a later flight. So now we are on our way to Toronto. Problem one solved. Problem two- our flight lands at five and and we have to board our next plane at 5:30, but in those 30 min we have to got get our checked bags, go back through security, then go through costumes. Problem 3- there is freezing rain starting in Toronto soon... Max is going to have a night in Costa Rica alone. So that's the deal. Every type of thing that could be thrown at us has but we are being optimistic and are somewhat (but not wayy to much) enjoying the adventure. In the end we hope everything turns out and that we are in Costa Rica tomorow morning.

Uncle Ron on

Sounds like an episode of the amazing race already. That is a good omen. Also a good omen is that the end of the world is coming in a few days, so you won't have to worry about these issues on your return trip since the world will no longer exist. ;-)
