Getting packed was easy, as we always travel light - one backpack each, we can always get our clothes washed somewhere. Our big dilemma was to start the regiment of Malaria pills. Taking the pills for two months seemed like a long time, not to mention the side affects. At the last minute we decided to skip the pills and ensure that we were diligent about putting deet on.

We flew Emirates because it was a more direct flight with only one lay over in Dubai.
