Moe is a quiet town near the hills, and was a convenient stop for the old mining settlement of Walhalla. This had a cool (well, Abs disagrees) old mining train that trundles through the hills to the next town, and back again. Well, I liked it....

Also in Moe we had our first experience of the "pokies", automatic poker machines that I mistook to be like the gambers at home. Sadly they were nothing like that, other that we pressed buttons repeatedly while lights flashed and our dollar disappered in 2c incremements, before we shuffled quietly out again....
