The nearest campground to Lisbon is a forty five-minute train ride away, plus a bus ride to the station. It was either free camp or use the campground. Melanie was not as hard as Lucy and myself. Bit mad really, as it is far cheaper to free camp. We needed to have words about this. We caught the bus and train into the city and had a walk around and it was what the book said. Very hilly, place this, so we did lots of walking. We stopped off at a café where it was cheaper to drink coffee at the counter than at the seat. Just like most coffee here, it was thick, black and cheap. We continued walking around the inner city and came across a castle, so we made our way up, and had a look around. As there were beer flags everywhere, I decided that the done deal would be to chop one down. Taking Lucy's Swiss army knife, I started to cut one off and continued until I chopped into my finger. Blood was spurting everywhere, and as we were beginning to create a scene, we left. As the world expo was taking place at this time, around the city were various beer machines. When you put your money in, a bottle of Superbock dropped out shouting yipeeeeeee in a high pitched voice. Back at the campground, we once again ran into John and Janelle, so we had beers with them again.
