After we finished, we went back up to the albergue as I had left my drink bottle up there, and luckily, the last person who was just leaving had not shut the door, so it was there for another day
And off we rode.
Onwards we went, up the hills, and down a little and through little villages that were no longer there, and if there was a house or two left, they were restored at a considerable expense. In some ways, they were nice, but a little over done, or maybe they were bringing a little bit of life into these old houses. We did discuss this but no answer was found.
Through numerous villages, past dams and into forests we rode, the views were never ending, and in the distance we could see snow covered mountains and they were getting closer, but so was Puebla de Sanabria.
When we did get there, our albergue was at the bottom of this huge hill, and when you looked up, there was what looked like an old castle and a church. After we grabbed our beds, we climbed the steps that took us up there. Now normally, all three of us would shoot like a bunch of Japanese but this time, the main square, the church and all the streets were filling with people as a funeral was taking place, so for once in my life, I tried to be tactful and not shoot, so this is what I did !!!
