Travelling, which way to the next place is the question that Lucy nand I normally ask each other. During the last year, we have taken loads of different transport options, and this time, as we had to get back to the Kok, we decided on a mini-bus. In Thailand, they are Toyota Hiaces, just like in Pakistan, but the difference being is that they tend to stick only 9 in the back instead of the 16 in Pakistan, so it seemed like a comfortable option. Once in, the backpackers that were already inside were moaning about lack of personal space !!! This is luxury for us, so I managed to hold my tongue for about 30 seconds. Once a German girl opened her mouth how I was thinking about myself, I told her to shut the fuck up and then was made to feel like a Jew sitting in the middle of a load of Izzy (Islamic) lovers on their way to Mecca. Who gives a fuck anyway. They think this is hard. Thailand, so fucking easy.

And then we were off and in no time, we were dumped in the Kok, where we did the usual dance, had dinner and died.

We had arranged to meet Paul and Julie for a bit of sight-seeing at the Grand Palace as we had not been there since the last millennium. Once there, they told us about their little trip into Laos, Paul's adventure with his dodgy stomach, and then we went in. It is a stunning place full of stupas and royal buildings. There is also a complete model of Angkor Wat. In one of the buildings is a Jade Buddha which is thought very highly of. For each season, the Thais dress it up in different pure gold robes. As you only see one set on the Buddha, the other two sets are located in the Palace museum. They are all works of art. We walked around shooting like there was no tomorrow, well Paul and I were because whenever we are together we always try to out do each other in the number of shots, plus he had a new camera, which obviously made me jealous as one of mine has died, and I really do need to out do him !!! Three to four hours is plenty, plus Paul was still feeling dodgy, so we walked out. They went back to their posh hotel with a swimming pool and us to the dodgy backpacker area.

A couple of hours later, we met up.

We had some beers, and the girls had G&T's

We had some more beers

We had beers with dinner.

We had more beers after dinner

The beers were now flying. I was feeling pissed, and I shouldn't be doing this as it was only a short time ago that I had the Heps, but they were going down so well. We settled up, and went to an outside bar, and had a couple of buckets, which went down a treat, and then it was time to say goodbye, as they were going back to Kent. Back to BT for Paul, oh how I miss that place !!!

Waking up was hard. I was hungover like all fuck. But then again, so was Lucy !!! After many hours, we went for brunch and I wasn't feeling well in the liver. Not looking for sympathy, just someone to come to my funeral !!! The food wasn't going down. Neither was water. I was thinking about putting myself back into hospital as the Heps were back, well, in my mind that is !!! But we had to go back and pack our bags as we were leaving the Kok again, so I pushed the thoughts of a return to hospital to the back of my mind. Somehow, we managed to pack the bags, and even checked out with minutes to spare. Walking was hard, but we made it to Dave's Buddha View shop. We dumped our bags and melted into the couch, and let our bodies repair themselves, which amazingly they managed to. I was feeling like another beer !!! But I resisted as we are now about to jump onto another bus. This one is taking us to Phuket. I have a friend who has known me all of my life, and he owns a bar down there, so it is a good enough reason to visit. Well at least for one beer !!!
