boring stuff:
flight took foooooooooooooreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeveeeeeeeeer. still, despite not sleeping, it wasn't as long as we thought it'd be, and we weren't delayed!

Narita airport!
we has japanrail passes! with stamps on them! and the helpful clerk spoke very good english (a recurring theme) and apologised for only being able to book the train to tokyo's seats.
the nex train was cleaned and all the seats turned to face the direction of travel before departing. and the cleaning lady apologised for keeping us...

Tokyo!
think Akira. or Ghost In The Shell. or Blade Runner (without the light-up brollies and hover cars. and rain)
you're kinda close.
sensory overload? check.
no clue where we are or going? checkety-check! (we have found the hotel, natch)
salaryman lunch as our first meal? oh yes... it was amazing!
cat cafe? yup! (we miss brody)
wandering around shinjuku aimlessly (but finding said cat cafe)? how'd you guess?!?

we're tuckered out, but no photo bomb, as technology (hotel's confusingly keyboarded pc & wifi not working with our phones :/) is letting us down...

OK so thats from Leo, thought I would add a quick run down too.

So far everything that has been a cause for worry, getting the train pass, trains booked, finding well... anything has been a breeze. The people couldnt be more lovely, helpful *and very very patient* if they tried.

Have eaten too much already with a salleryman lunch including BOTH udon noodle soup AND chicken curry don as well as takoyaki, cakes and all sorts... bring on tomorrow!!! and well... mabie trying the sweetcorn soup from the vending machine outside the hotel... mabie... given Leo's warm from the machine can o coffee he tried earlier being... well a warm can out a machine haha.

This place is amazing and a complete overload... love it! and looking forward to a proper explore tomorrow.

That is all.
