Day 8 (August 28– Friday) : Drive through the mountains towards Rio de Janeiro.
We hit the road early towards Petrópolis and to the final destination Rio de Janeiro. We got to Petrópolis by lunch time and made a quick tour by car through the historic city, sightseeing the Crystal Palace, the Cathedral and went to a physical visit at the House of "Santos Dumont", which is the airplane inventor.
Next we had lunch in a very typical restaurant overlooking the gardens of downtown Petrópolis, which is an European environment.
Heading to Rio de Janeiro early afternoon.
