Well so much has happened that it is hard to know where to begin.....
We have seen so many magnificant historical sights and experienced so much of the culture already!
Today was our shopping day, and for a team of all girls and one guy we did amazingly well, with most people not buying anything at all! WOW!
Everyone's Ukrainian vocabulary is growing slowly and we use the few words as much as we can.
Funny experiences:
tarryn tried to buy a mans shaver and shocked the man who was selling them. he was trying to tell her that she had no hair on her face
britt, beth, yan and tarryn dressed up in the middle of Andrevskiy and drew a crowd
manda got locked in the bathroom because the door handle fell off
today we bought group rings.... they are engraved with old ukrainian and say "Lord save and protect us". we think they are super cool.... but slightly cheesey.
on a serious note, some of the team went to the foam factory today and picked up some hospital grade foam for mattresses and seating in the orphanages.. very exciting!
o and you must all be desparate to know that we have all had borsche...and survived!!!!
