As a girl from Arizona, I have never had the experience of snowfall.  Although I knew snowflakes never held the same shape, I have never experienced snowflakes falling on the sleeve of my jacket where I can witness the beauty and uniqueness of fresh snow firsthand like a little tiny science project.

Almost kidlike, I took full advantage of the opportunity to make fresh snow prints.  There's something almost soothing about setting your foot on snow that has been untouched.

In Germany, the Christmas markets are in full swing.  The lights and the music seem to orchestrate the falling of the snow.  Snow does not keep the Germans at home.  The Christmas market was filled with people and their "hunds" enjoying the brats, pommes and gluwhein.  As I made my way back to the hotel, my gluwhein became a sweet lambrusco naturally chilling with the falling snow

There is so much to see and do in the marketplace.  Even though the stores are closed on Sunday, there is still the hustle and bustle of the city square.  I couldn't think of a better way to spend a winter afternoon but in a winter wonderland.
