Flying Bangladesh Air, I was to depart Bangkok and trasit through Dhaka for a night, before continuing on to Kolkatta.. Easy enough? Except that upon landing in Dhaka, our breaks gave out, and we ended up skidding to a hault off in the grass. It was chaos: Indians, Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, all running around, jumping up and down, yelling. One charismatic Indian soul tried to convinced the authorities that he was essentially better than the Bangladeshis, and loudly pointed at us to illustrate the ones they were meant to be taking advantage of... Somehow I managed to get a relatively comfortable room for the night and flew out the next morning-
