Today I ran alone because David did not want to come with me. I ran on a beautiful path along the river with wildflowers on both sides.  David's loss.

Later we had a real treat.  Marit obtained the key to the gate that blocks the road up to the mountain with the TV tower for the Trondheim area.  She drove us up to the top where we had breathtaking views of the fjords and the oceans. David took many pictures. We met some hikers at the top. One of them had the famous Trondheim mustache called "Tronderbatt." It is very sexy.

Afterwards, we stopped by one of the many caves in the mountainside that David spotted on the way to the TV tower mountain and we just HAD to stop and look inside.  Unfortunately, our trip inside was rather short, as we had to pull over on the side of the main road so we could see the cave.  As it turns out, the Germans once wanted to build a huge submarine base under the mountain.   Due to something that we don’t know however, they never completed the project, but the beginnings of it are visible everywhere.  Most of the cave entrances are sealed off, however this one was open.  Unprepared, we ventured inside…

Dark is the only word to describe the place.  It was dark, very very dark.  David tried to take some pictures but couldn’t get the camera to focus, possibly because there was nothing to focus on in such complete darkness, until we heard what we now refer to as “the thing.”  As from a horror movie something was in there in the dark, and it was coming.  All we could hear were its steps in the puddles, but that was enough for us.  We left the cave and the creature behind and went back to the car.  It didn’t follow…or so we think…
