The flight and the Norwegian landscape

The flight from Iceland to Trondheim, Norway was uneventful, except for the gorgeous aerial views of the world famous Norwegian Fjords. Our relatives from Norway were there to greet us at the airport. Magdalena, David's grandmother’s cousin instantly recognized David’s dreadlocks and greeted us warmly. They drove us on a scenic route from the airport through Trondheim, to Buvik (Buvika). The Norwegian landscape is so different from the Icelandic. Instead of the fields of lava rocks, craters, and barren mountains we have seen in Iceland, Norway is covered in green—green fields where farmers grow wheat, barley, and oats, beautiful evergreen forests, and fields of wildflowers. The temperature here is warmer about 70 degrees on a warm, sunny day. Lastly, there was a heavy thunderstorm near the airport in Trondheim that we could see from the plane and as a result there were several humongous beautiful rainbows as well. The iphone pictures don't do them justice.
