Had a great night in the RV. Artie made a great breakfast and we walked the dog all over the place. Kathleen was coming around 11:00 to pick me up and we were going shopping and out to lunch. Then we would return to get Artie and go out to dinner. Around 10:00 I had to call Kathleen as Artie's finger was broken. Patch, our border collie, is not social when it comes to other animals. Another dog came by our site and Patch lunged out at the dog [barking non-stop]. Artie grabbed the chain/leash . . . and his pinky finger must have gotten caught up in the collar or chain or something and when Patch reached the end of her leash/chain . . . it snapped Artie's finger and broke it. Kathleen came and we went to the clinic, x-rays and prescriptions for pain and a good splint was put on and with instructions to see a certified hand surgeon when we get home. Took Artie back to the RV and he insisted that I go out to dinner with Kathleen. I did and brought him back some dinner. Early night for sure with Kathleen and her Mom. It was nice to be with them but really felt like I needed to get back to the RV. Artie enjoyed the pasta dinner I brought him; he ate and returned to bed. Long day for us all. Not as we planned; but we did the best we could. Kathleen and her Mom to the rescue for sure.
