Today we woke up and it was POURING rain. For like, 4 hours straight! We were lazy and lounged in the sleep number bed (ARGGHH!!! Woke up with sore backs/necks every night!) and watched the flat screen. Had breakfast in bed. Totally lounged and it was AWESOME!! After eating at Cranky Frank's (a must if you love BBQ), we decided to get up and hit some vineyards and drive out to Luckenbach. It's a small town (pop. 3) where Willie Nelson has his famous 4th of July party. Country songs are written about it. It's got a post office/bar in the back. Very quaint. We then hit the Torre di Pietra Vineyard for a tasting. For those of you who know me, I couldn't find anything I liked. Scott liked the Claret. There are a few vineyards between Johnson City and Fredericksburg (Stonewall is the city in between). Anyway, it made me think of my sister and Dara again (the lushes!). We headed back into town for a birthday dinner at some German place and we ate weiner schnitzel. I can't wait to hear all the crude comments from my friends regarding this entry!!
