Where I stayed
Some parking lot on a hill in town
A very cool, and funky town. I felt like I had been transported into another universe here. The town and building are built on top of each other...stacked precariously like a house of cards that might fall down at any minute. It's an old mining town that transformed itself into a hippy haven, and then a minor tourist mecca. They get over a million visitors through that town over the summer months. And, believe me...you're feeling squished in from everywhere in the middle of the day...but it empties out like a back flood as evening rolls around. Nice friendly people. The shops keep Sunday Bankers hours...I went for a beer and a burger at a pub/family restaurant and I met up with a couple of ladies who were visiting Sedona from Tennesse?...Smokey Mountain Area (I think). We shared a great table with a view, and great conversation...a very good day.
