Where I stayed
Goblin Valley State Park Campground
Finally, got out of Green River...I have sand everywhere AND, now Tommy smells like a campfire...Yup. Left the van door open while toasting my tootsies. So, home smells like campfire, my latest stir fry, and Roxi...I'm a walking smorgasboard of aromas. He'll be needing a bath by the time I get him home again. Poor little guy. He's such a trooper.
Goblin Valley...WHAT A TREAT! You feel like you're walking on Mars, or trippin' on acid through a Salvador Dali Painting. It is so FREAKIN' cool! I'll only spend the one night here for now, cause a snow storm and cold front are moving in for a few days, so I'm moving out to Hanksville to wrap myself in the glorious warmth electricity provides. But, I'll be back to surf through "Little Wild Horse Canyon". A very cool little foray, I'm totally looking forward to.
Oh, as a point of interest...the gray, green sand is ancient sea bed, and the ochre sandstone are the ancient tidal pools...way too cool.
