Where I stayed
Redholme Guesthouse
We woke up this morning and made our way downstairs where we enjoyed a nice chat with Rebeka, Karen, and her mom, Pat, while the three younger girls (Jessi, Esther, and Jemimah) made paper chains in the yard. Pat made a lovley lunch of Mackerel and salad. Pat and John run an amazing bed and breakfast, Redholme Guest House. It is an 1884 Victorian house and they have lovely gardens (www.redholmeipswich.co.uk). After the whole gang enjoyed a wonderful lunch under the gazebo, we headed off to see Karen's place. She and the girls have a great place not far from her parents. We made a quick stop at Lidl's. This is a grocery store that reminded us of Aldies and sure enough, Karen said they are brothers!
We got some laundry underway, ate a snack and headed off to an Art/Music Festival to meet up with friends of the family. Their daughter had photography displayed and their son played the guitar and sang. It was a lovely evening, but a bit chilly. England had a heat wave before we arrived but now is is quite cool.
