Since we arrived at the Hotel Norde in Timisora, at nearly 7:30, we decided to head out right away to try and find praprikosh to eat for dinner, since the Let's Go book said it was good here and because Grandma Stutzman, who is full Romanian, always used to make proprikosh when she had us over for dinner. Unfortunately, we were not able to find a restaurant that served it, although we stopped and asked many along the way.
This quaint city with many old, unique buildings was very refreshing. The evening was cool and there were several city squares and parks that we enjoyed walking through. We ended up eating at a fast food place that served a potato, ham, cheese, and egg dish. We also tried Tiramaso for dessert. A quick stop at McDonalds topped the night off with a Shake Royal, which had chocolate sauce, strawberry ice cream and crunchy topping of some sort. We got back to our rooms at about 10:30 pm, took showers, watched the World Cup with Brazil and France (wow, what a shock that Brazil lost) and enjoyed the two nice double rooms with a shower and a WC down the hall.
One sad thing was the gypsies.
