What a nightmare... After the lengthy 6 and a half hour bus ride back to Dallas we have to get out to the airport hotel at which we have made a reservation. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong.... First there are no taxis when we arrive at the airport train station so we end up having to take the shuttle bus to the airport so we can ring the hotel courtesy bus. The shuttle bus terminates, so we have to get a second bus. Once we get to the airport and call the hotel nobody is answering the phone, so we eventually give up and decide to get a taxi there instead. We only have 3 miles to go to the hotel but once he gets going the taxi driver tell us the fare will be at least $25. Having told him to turn around back to the terminal Tim doesn't realise till 10 minutes later (while I'm still trying to call the hotel) that he's left the day pack in the taxi. We finally make it to the hotel at 11.30pm, thoroughly exhausted and pissed off. Worst of all we've lost the camera and all our US photos, though luckily most have been uploaded to this here blog...
