Tiredness set in for the SC team on day 5. Even the kids who spend the morning being hyper are exhausted by the afternoon. The team met up in the afternoon to plan the evening craft session, and while a couple of us fell asleep during said meeting we were awoken by a loud noise. We looked around to find Bobby, one of the youngest boys in our group, went to run outside but obviously hadn't noticed that the glass door was closed. He consequently went head first into it! He looked slightly dazed but soon picked himself up, had a laugh and carried on. From now on he is known as bird boy!

Everything at Summer Camp is going really well. The kids love getting their face painted or mock tattoos painted on their arms at craft time. Roses are the most popular for the girls, Spiderman for the young boys, while dragons seem to be the tattoo of choice for the older boys. We've had several Spidermen climbing pillars and (attempting to climb) walls

The day also included more fun at the beach as the temperature rises. The children (and SC team) literally love the waves. Although Laura is getting a little frustrated with Rich for marking her prime target for seaweed throwing!

In our afternoon teaching session, the SC team acted out the story of The Prodigal Son. We soon realized that we had undiscovered stars in the team. Jenny and Marie's acting (who played the father and son respectively) would give Tom Cruise a run for his money! While the rest of the team playing the parts of dancers and pigs was a comic performance worthy of a spot on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow. Watch this space for it coming to a city near you!
