Just finished a banana pancake and coconut shake. Today is hot again but there is a nice, light breeze to sooth the body. It is quiet here at the fisherman's resort, but I am just visiting because they have free wireless internet and the food is good. It's been about a week since I last came here however, I remember sitting at this table writing on my laptop when all of a sudden someone started sneezing uncontrollably on and off for about 5 minutes. There was surly at least 50 outbursts. It was coming from the kitchen area of the restaurant. Just as I looked up there was one last sneeze and a Thai man had appeared walking with two hamburgers in hand and delivered it to a table of onlooking customers. All I could think about is how sorry I felt for the people, but was glad it wasn't my meal....

Around me I hear big waves crashing the shore but the tide is out. I hear birds chirping in the trees, Thai children laughing on the beach and English football on TV. If only it were hockey!! In the sea's horizon I see various fishing boats, some hazy islands and of course those waves breaking.

Above me, beams of light pierce through the straw roofed hut and decorative lights dangle from the wooden frames. As I sit here, I ponder what to do after I post this entry, pay my $3 meal and get back on my motorbike. Perhaps I will just go back to my place, find a shaded palm and read a bit... same same but different.

The photograph below is of a sunset a few days ago. It's a favorite of mine and it's not photoshopped.

Buddy! Sounds really relaxing having your shoes poached, backpack peed on, and eating sneezy food. Your photos are awesome ... as always ... and I love the way you are describing the adventures.

We are going to miss you this Saturday for the Xmas gift exchange. I might have to put a bobble-headed Troy in the pot once again for Jenny.
Take care of yourself. Bird (BTW it is snowing hear and cold.)
