. Steve swiftly nudged me that it was time to move on. Well, we moved on alright... and each time we did he followed. He lurked around and kept an eye on us moving closer and closer. We ended up not going into any caves because his presence was just creepy. We decided not to eat lunch on this beach and left. We headed up the coast only to find him following us and parking wherever we were at FOUR different locations. We'd walk away, he'd follow. Steve said he did not sense he was dangerous but nonetheless we were a little more than concerned. He would stare at us and just keep moving in on us. We ended up losing him by Steve turning back around and going a different way but the entire stalking episode went on for three and ½ hours. Funny thing is... there were two very short videos that Steve took of me on the beach and you can actually see him on the very side of one. We laughed when we came home and saw him in the corner of the video. We'd be sitting in some remote area and Steve would be like I bet any minute he's going to appear.. And he was right. The other pretty funny thing that happened today was we were on a steep cliff and well, I was to close to the edge and totally slipped.. my left leg was hanging on the side of the cliff. I was grounded with my other foot but still needed help as the ground was way too loose (obviously as I slid right down!) I called for Steve to help me who was up the trail just a bit and he said, "Good one, Dawn, I am not falling for it! I am a bit of a practical joker so he thought I was pulling a prank on him
. He did turn around and come closer and realized I was not kidding and quickly helped me back up.. But we laughed pretty hard that when I am hanging on the edge of a cliff he thought I was just playing another prank on him! As picture crazy as he is, I considered myself lucky he didn't take a photo of me first before saving me! Even with our bits of drama, I would not have changed anything... it was another perfect day! We came back to the cottage at 6:00 and rested for a bit, had some wine, and then went down to our favorite beach for sunset. We stayed at the beach for an hour or so and then had dinner and picked up a few things at the store on the way home. We are back at the cottage for the night and getting ready to watch a movie. Tomorrow I am hoping we go back to Point Lobos as there is so much there to see.
Today was another beautiful day in sunny Carmel, California! Lots of sunshine and blue skies with temperatures around 70 degrees. The day started out with our regular routine. We spent about an hour and half at the beach. I jogged down Scenic Drive and then came back on the beach. I met up with Steve and we walked around a lot of the side streets enjoying all the beautiful fantasy homes and gorgeous plants everywhere. We left the beach and had breakfast at our cottage and then headed off towards Big Sur for the day. We spent a lot of time at this really cool beach that is so big and has huge waves and fabulous rocks and caves. It was on this beach that we attracted our very own California stalker. (Yes, maybe that's funny but I am also totally serious). He started out by sitting down (really close to us... like practically on our towel) and pulling out some pot and asking us if we would like to partake in smoking with him. I told him thanks but we were all set. (!) Then he started talking about naked people and where the good bath houses are
