Our second day on vacation... we woke to a lovely rain hitting the roof of the cottage. The skies were grey and cloudy allowing us to feel a little less guilty about sleeping in. We got up around 8:30 (keep in mind that's really 11:30 back home) and got ready for the day. Steve made a magnificent breakfast which I really enjoyed and we were off the day. The skies turned to sunshine just minutes before we were heading out for the day to enjoy Lover's Park Point in Pacific Grove. The temperatures today were in the mid 60's. The air was fresh and crisp and the sun was bright. The air smelled so good! The eucalyptus trees really smell amazing and it just feels good to be outside. We came back to our cottage around 4:00 and had a light lunch (left overs from our dinner the night prior). Then we went to the main house and visited with Dagma and Gary (the owners of the cottage). We enjoyed a fabulous glass of wine and enjoyed our visit with them. We spent the evening walking around River Beach and walked Scenic Drive down to Carmel Beach spending the last hour relaxing on a bench just watching the waves and enjoying the views. We are back at the cottage for the evening.. Although it's only 8:30 (it's 11:30 to us (and we have had a pretty exciting day). Steve is making a wonderful pasta dinner and we are getting ready to watch a movie in a bit. We are having an amazing time and things could not be more perfect. This is what dreams are really made of.
