On our last day in Antalya, we rented a car to see some of the sights again.

First, we went to Chirali to see the Chimaera. This is where natural gases come our of holes in the rocks and catch on fire when it comes in contact with the oxygen in the air. These natural fires burn all the time on the bare rocks. The story behind it is of Blepheron who kills the Chimaera, which is a mythical figure with the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a snake.

Next, we then went to Olympos to see the ancient city. There was not much left of it but it was along a very nice beach.

From here, we went Kale where we went to see the church of St. Nicholas. The excavations are still going on but it was in beautiful condition. I got to have my picture taken with Santa Clause and see where he preached.

It took all day to see these sites. It was a bit of a drive on the south side of Antalya. But it was well worth it. We are getting on the bus at midnight to go to Bodrum. It's an overnight bus that is 8 hours. We are going to stay in some hostels on our way to Istanbul, but we are going to try to stick with overnight busses as much as we can.
