Last night we went to Atakule, a tower in the middle of Ankara. You can see the whole city from the top. It was very beautiful. We didn't get there till after the sun set, but the view was still pretty. After we looked at the city, we went for some drinks in the spinning cafe. We would have went to the restaurant, but you needed a reservation. It was a nice cafe. It spins a full cycle every hour and a half.
On the last day we were there, we went to the Ataturk Museum. If was reall big and open. Sait had a great time there. We walked all around the outside perimeter, then saw his resting site, and then watched a 15 minute film on his life. The actual museum part starts next to the biggest building where he sleeps, then goes under ground under the building and around to the other site.
There are a lot of pictures that I took. It was a really sunny (and hot I guess for Ankara) day. The detail on the building was beautiful. The roof had beautiful paintings on them and the walls had pictures carved into them.
We also went to a couple of malls in Ankara. They are really big here and you have to pass through a security check before entering the mall. They have some really expensive clothing here, but it's all brand name. They also have digital price tags in the grocery stores here. That was kind of cool.
Tomorrow, we leave for Adana and I get to meet his family.
