Caught the train to Nice and was in a carriage with 3 other Australians, a couple from Sydney (Catherine and Mark) and a guy from Queensland.  The couple, strangely enough, were staying at the same hotel as us in Nice!  We went out for dinner later that night with them :)  For dessert we stopped off at a street vendor and had crepes with lemon and sugar...yummy!!

The next day we woke up late and headed down to the market where we stopped for a coffee, watched as fancily dressed women and their dogs strolled by.  Went down to the market and walked past tables laden with olives, cheeses and preserved meats of every kind.  The air smelt of freshly baked bread, ripe tomatoes and the scent of flowers.  There were tables full of local Nicoise pastries filled with local honey, lemon and sugar and hazelnut fillings!!  Was gorgeous, no markets are better than those in the South of France!!

Later that day we strolled along the Boulevard Anglaise, sat on the pebble beach, relaxed and read magazines....just gorgeous!
