Where I stayed
Stayokay Vondelpark (Amsterdam, Netherlands)
After we finally found the place and checked in, we went out for a walk to explore the place. The first night we wandered down to the red-light district and saw a the women in their window box, and also a 'show'...pretty funny and gross...lol.
The next morning we disovered we had two lovely dorm-mates, Shelley and Jenni from Vancouver. We went shopping (bought a pair of work pants from H&M!) and saw Anne Frank's Huis. Went back to the room and Shelley and Jenni asked if we were doing anything tonight and if we wanted to go see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, which we did! Was a very fun night, afterwards we went back to the hostel where we just sat on the couches for hours and chatted. They left early the next morning, which was sad :(
The next day we caught the train out to a Dutch working village at Koog Zandyk, an open-air museum where you see cheese being made, clogs, preserves, etc. Was quite nice out in the countryside :)
