We just love the city of Prague!! So glad we decided to come here even though it was a bit out of the way.

We left the hotel around 10 this morning and joined a "free" walking tour. The tour was for 2.5 hours and included much of the old town / new town section of the city. Saw many interesting buildings and enjoyed the commentary that the guide gave. It was well worth the tip we gave the guide and a good way to get oriented with the city. Lots of narrow winding streets and easy to get lost if you don't have a good map.

The tour finished around 1:30, so we found a great outdoor spot for lunch, a beer and lots of people watching! There are a lot of beer taverns in this city. After lunch we walked over the Charles bridge but decided to leave the castle until tomorrow. Jeff's hips and feet were getting pretty sore so we headed back to the hotel around 4:30 for a bit of a rest before heading out for dinner. I must have been tired too cause I managed to nod off for a bit of nap.

We decided to go for a nice dinner on the river with a great view of the Charles Bridge and the Royal Palace. Headed out for dinner around 7:30 and got a great table right at the water edge. We are becoming quite european with our dining.....eat much later here than we normally do at home. The restaurant was actually a large boat and was in the water...great view and lots of boats passing by....very romantic!!! We had a delicious meal, including beer before dinner and wine with dinner for only $50 CAD.

After dinner took a slow leisurely walk back to the hotel and settled in for the evening. Jeff is happy ...today we have seen a red Ferrari, a yellow Lamborghini and a white Morgan... Some pretty impressive cars.

So happy you enjoyed Prague. We also loved the city; the square in Old Town was a great people watching spot. Hope you continue to have good weather and great travels. See you in a week and a half! Tony and Susie
