So today it was time for the final leg of or tour starting with a two and a half hour flight to Shanghai.

We were allowed the luxury of one of our very few morning "lie-ins" as our flight wasn't until just after lunch and it was much appreciated.

On arrival in Shanghai we were greeted by Grace who managed to tell us all about Sanghai for literally the hole  of the bus journey from the airport to the "The Bund" boat cruise.

Eddie our national guide had described the food on this particular cruse as "simple". Well maybe it was simple and bland or perhaps it might have been the fact that quite a lot of our group have reached their limit as far as Chinese cuisine goes? Either way the end result was the same and not much food was eaten.

It didn't take us long then before we were able to escape the dining room along with it's accompanying and very loud folk musicians for the relative quiet of the upstairs decks.

It was now just after dusk so the further we went down the river the more the buildings along the bank began to light up, at least the ones that had paid their electric bill. In fact some of the boats seemed to have more lights on than some of the buildings :)

Back on the bus then after the cruise and off to the Holiday Inn were to our surprise we found that the hotel wi-fi which in all the other places we'd stayed at during our tour had not reached further than the lobby was available in our room on the 4th floor... result!

Last full day tomorrow :(
